Virginia Episcopal Investment Funds (VEIF) is not registered as an investment adviser under the Investment Advisers Act of 1940, as amended, and the Short Term, Balanced and All Equities Funds are not registered as investment companies under the Investment Company Act of 1940, as amended. While VEIF engages a number of registered investment advisers to manage certain portions of the Funds and the Funds may hold interests in a number of registered investment companies, neither VEIF nor the Funds is subject to such registration.
VEIF does not guarantee the future performance of the Funds, any specific level of performance (whether relative to an established benchmark or otherwise), the success of any investment decision or strategy that VEIF may use (including its engagement of sub-advisers or portfolio managers), or the success of VEIF’s overall management of the Funds. Participants understand that the investment decisions VEIF will make in managing the Funds (including any decisions regarding the engagement of sub-advisors or portfolio managers) are subject to various market, currency, economic, political and business risks, including those risks presented by the global COVID-19 pandemic, and that those investment decisions will not always be profitable. In addition, there is no guarantee or assurance that the investment decisions made by VEIF with respect to the Funds will result in future returns that are consistent with the Funds’ historic performance. Participants understand that VEIF will provide important information regarding the Funds and the Participant’s investment in the Funds, including the Funds’ annual audit reports, to the Participant by email or through the VEIF website. Participants consent to receiving electronic correspondence from VEIF providing, or relating to, such information, including an annual notice from VEIF that the Funds’ annual audit report is available. Participants acknowledge that printed copies of the VEIF annual audit report are available upon request.
VEIF and the Funds have been organized and will at all times operate exclusively for religious purposes.
Participants represent that they will only invest in VEIF Funds using funds over which they have immediate, unrestricted (except by a governing trust document) and exclusive use, benefit and enjoyment and may not invest assets that are attributable to a retirement plan providing for employee contributions or variable benefits.
Participants acknowledge that they are restricted from assigning, encumbering or otherwise transferring any part of their interests in the Funds, except in limited circumstances, and agree to consult with VEIF prior to taking any such action.
